Eligibility: Minimum 4th pass. The candidate must live in a village of the saja applied for (proof required). The candidate must be physically able to do field work. Maharashtra domicile and age certificate are required. Heirs of a saja’s previous Kotwal get preference if all else is equal. Honorarium is Rs 15,000 per month.
Exam Pattern: The written exam will be held on Sunday, 13 December 2026. It will have 50 objective GK questions for 100 marks, and a minimum of 40 marks is needed to qualify. The admit card can be downloaded from the portal between 1 and 8 December 2026. After the exam, a provisional list, document verification and a final list will follow.
