Railway Recruitment Cell, Northern Railway (RRC NR), New Delhi has announced 4,651 Act Apprentice training slots under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The slots are spread across six clusters — Lucknow, Delhi, Ambala, Firozpur, Moradabad and Jammu — covering divisions, units and workshops of Northern Railway. Eligibility: Class 10 with at least 50% marks and an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an NCVT/SCVT recognised institution. This is apprenticeship training — completing it does not give any right to a railway job. Selection is based on merit in Class 10 and ITI marks; there is no written examination or interview. Medical examination and document verification will follow.
