The Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has invited applications for 20 Trade Apprentice placements in its Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department. The apprenticeship, under the Apprentices Act 1961, is for the apprenticeship year 2025-2026. Applications can be submitted online through the Apprenticeship India (NAPS) portal from 4 November to 3 December 2026.

Qualification: ITI pass in the relevant trade. Selection: On the basis of aggregate ITI marks and certificate verification; there is no written examination. Preference ratio is 4:1:1 (children of VPA employees : CHD category : outsiders); within the employee share the ratio is 2:1:1 (deceased : medically invalidated/superannuated : serving). Completion of training does NOT guarantee employment with VPA.
