The highest marks are for Mental Ability and Arithmetic (20 marks), so prepare Reasoning and Maths first. English covers grammar, vocabulary and comprehension. Physical Science covers basic physics, and Elementary Computer Knowledge covers basic computer concepts, the internet and MS Office. The notification gives only the subject names and marks, not a chapter-wise topic list for each subject.
Industrial Safety and Pollution Control (10 marks) covers safety measures in factories and pollution control. The Environmental Issues section (15 marks) focuses on energy conservation and renewable energy. For the Industrial Scenario of West Bengal (15 marks), read about the industries, MSME schemes and industrial areas of the state. There are no separate qualifying marks in the interview, but its 15 marks are added to the final merit.
